Disclaimer for beyondXC.cloud

beyondXC.cloud is an open beta and community platform for XC pilots, flight schools, clubs, competitions and other air sports communities. The platform supports flight logbooks, IGC processing, map views, barometric/GPS evaluations, community contributions, club and competition organisation, and optional data synchronisation with external services. The service does not replace official information, administrative procedures or mandatory flight preparation.

1. Open beta status and community contributions

beyondXC.cloud operates as an open beta. Individual functions, community contributions, uploads, analyses and statistics may contain errors, be incomplete or change at short notice. There is no entitlement to permanent availability, freedom from errors or an unchanged range of functions. Content, interfaces and processes may be adapted, restricted, moderated or discontinued for technical, organisational or legal reasons.

2. No official aeronautical information

Maps, airspace, TRA information, NOTAM/AUP references, obstacle data, weather data, altitude calculations, community guidance and other displays serve exclusively as technical aids and plausibility checks. They do not replace mandatory flight preparation using official sources, current NOTAMs, AIP/AIP SUP, AUP/UUP, weather briefings, publications from Austro Control or other competent bodies.

3. No real-time, emergency or navigation function

Map, weather, live, 3D and replay views are not intended for real-time use, navigation, collision warnings, emergencies, air traffic control or decision support during flight. Availability, timeliness, accuracy, loading times and presentation may vary. Flight decisions and emergency measures must be based exclusively on personal observation, training, applicable rules and official sources.

4. IGC Analyzer and barometric evaluation

IGC analyses, barometric altitude checks, airspace infringement notices, weather corrections, rankings, community, club and competition statistics, and generated evaluation links are technical aids. They are not official certification, a guarantee that a flight is valid or a binding decision for XContest, competition organisers or authorities.

5. Users’ responsibility

Users are responsible for the data, community contributions, photos, comments, flight files and other content they enter, upload, import, publish, share or synchronise with third parties. Before using any information for flight decisions, scoring, publications, club, community or competition purposes, users must independently check all information for plausibility.

6. Community content and moderation

Community contributions, comments, photos, profile content, flight descriptions, links, reports and other user-generated content originate from the respective users and are not continuously checked in advance. Content may be reported, reviewed, moderated, hidden, edited or deleted. beyondXC.cloud provides no warranty regarding the accuracy, lawfulness, completeness or suitability of user-generated content.

7. Personal backups and data loss

Each pilot is responsible for permanently backing up original IGC files, GPX files, flight records, photos, comments, import files and other content outside beyondXC.cloud. beyondXC.cloud is not an archiving or backup service. Despite technical safeguards and backup measures, data may be lost, corrupted, imported incompletely, accidentally deleted or temporarily unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, beyondXC.cloud accepts no responsibility or liability for data loss or its consequences.

8. No warranty for content

No warranty is provided for the timeliness, completeness, accuracy, availability or suitability of the content, calculations, maps, statistics, rankings, weather references, obstacle layers, imports or external interfaces provided.

9. Limitation of liability

Claims for damages are governed exclusively by statutory provisions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for slight negligence, lost profits, indirect damage, consequential damage, data loss, disqualifications, airspace infringements, incorrect decisions in flight or failures of external communication and platform services. Claims arising from intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and mandatory claims under consumer protection law remain unaffected.

10. External links, services and data sources

beyondXC.cloud may include external links, map layers, weather and platform data, XContest imports, payment functions, APIs, CDNs, JavaScript/CSS libraries or third-party content. Functions may be affected by changes, restrictions, quotas, blocks, maintenance, outages or data errors at these providers. The respective providers are solely responsible for the content, availability, privacy and security standards of their external services.

11. No legal, flight or safety advice

Content on this platform does not constitute legal advice, flight advice, a flight school recommendation, safety clearance or official authorisation. For legal, regulatory or safety-related questions, obtain expert advice and consult the relevant official source.

12. Privacy

Information about the processing of personal data is available in the Privacy Policy.

13. Final provisions

If any statements in this disclaimer are or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected. Users’ mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected in all cases.
